Walking the Walk

I stand before 2 roads
Hoping it will lead me to my yellow brick road
Eventually leaving me at my dream destination
Only that I don’t have a dream or a destination
Let alone a way to reach the way to reach it.

Maybe life isn’t about reaching a happy place
It is about being happy whilst while we reach it.
The only way to know for sure is by walking the path and
not forgetting to
enjoy the breath taking view.
Look straight~like the eyes of god.

( The object of this challenge is to write a poem in no more than 10 lines. Frame of reference is 'The Cross-roads' quoted from Kwesi Brew's poem, The Mesh. For Imaginary Gardens with Real Toads)

  1. "It is about being happy whilst while we reach it." I think that is a very wise statement. Lovely thoughts.

  5. I'm like you, I never really had a dream destination. I just went where the doors were open (and the dog led?).

BTW my profile picture is of me sitting beside the Yellow Brick Road talking with Mr. Tin Man.

Blue Moon

There is something about Star crossed lovers Rowing silently Through the turbulent tides of Eternal love the glowing full moon their faux compass
You want them to beat the odds Cross the sea To the valley beyond and Have that happily ever after.
So that one day When the blue moon smiles And the stars align I could cross it with someone too.

It's been a week in Pune already!! :O
and believe it or not  - I have fallen in love with this city! <3
or maybe it is just another one of my defense mechanisms , protecting me from shocks. Whatever this is , it has aroused me enough, to write a post! So let me finish this before reality sinks in .
( Side note :

Defense mechanisms are pretty intriguing . Do you know that I haven't cried a single tear drop yet? My friends think it is some kind of sacrilegious blasphemy from my  part. But hey! If pessimists argue that I have effectively ended one life , I argue back that I have just started a new one :) I do miss chennai . However , I am not going to go gaga over it. Okay I just did . )
I haven't had much chance to discover the city in its entirety yet. But , from whatever I have seen - it is fresh , green , pleasant and mindnumbingly beautiful :')

So here it is . The elusive list of things I have noticed about Pune and my new life in general :

13 questions why

Every blogger out there has that one eternal wish – to know that they are not rambling to themselves in this vast internet blog space. Pageviews and likes can only take you so far. It is all about comments and reader’s engagement. If a post elicits someone else to express a counter view it has done its primary job. So today I am going to initiate and partake in a ‘fun’ activity with all you readers. I am putting up 13 questions and my answers for the same. You guys can choose the ones which appeal to you and answer the same. The answers need not be long – let’s have some fun with this!

       1)Coffee or tea?
The classic way to segregate people. Espresso or earl grey? Filter Kaapi or Chaai? Caffeine fuelled mornings or Tea enabled evenings?  Well my answer is * Drum roll *  Coffee! No surprises there for people who already know me. You can take the girl from kaapi but not kaapi out of the girl ( did I say that saying right? I always mess it up!) But I have recently started obse…
